JD, dude, sorry to have mislabeled you.

    My bad.

I'm a weaner when it comes to technical analysis of the calibre youse guys deploy on a daily basis. It's almost as if it's double-dutch, especially the stuff the Lord Volt speaks of.

I'm just a simple five-up and three-down to the fourth of lesser degree guy, usually at the .382 but sometimes to the .618 if it's the second on a change of trend, not the fourth after a run up.

What is it with this 9 and 13 count thingy? And what's with Armstrong and the years 2032-2034? I thought Lance rode a bike in the Tour de France. Didn't know he was a market analyst (joke).

Now there's a hero. I was lucky enought to stumble upon his book, "It's not about the bike". Worth a read.

Having fallen off my bike with futures in the 90's, I hung up my shackles, which they most surely were, and swore never to go back to market again. It wasn't the market at fault, but me. I was unprepared, and shudder to see, hear or read about those who are taken to the cleaners right now. Take that bloke on the HOR thread as an example. He's positively crying out for help, such is his obvious calamity! So education's no joke. If he was educated in the market he'd perhaps have been better off than he is now, which is up the creek without a paddle.

They reckon that if you think an education's expensive, "try ignorance".

I'd say that's a fair statement, and one our mate on the HOR's back would not disagree with. So yeah, here I am, amazed at the quality of content on HC. How it evaded me all this time, I'll never know. With what's going on down in Cairns right now, it really doesn't matter. Only reason I'm posting these long missives is to keep my mind off the wife n kids under the blinking house with the dogs and cats and a fair dinkum smell of fear the likes of which fear of the markets sounds just ridiculous.

Nothing heavy from me, JD, so very sorry about the misapplication of your position. My bad. Glad this's a civil discussion. We're only here to share information, not battle to the death over ideas.

All the best to you all.

    Go the Far North.

for we're here to learn, right?
