I would think the risk in accepting the the spp at 0.017 is limited to the sp retreating to 0.15 all things being equal. Maybe put you down a few grand on the 882,000 share purchase. So no risk of large scale loss in the short term. IMO and it seems more likely the sp would equal or exceed 0.017 on and after the 18th. but no guarantees of course.

I can't see any 'really' bad news that can come out 'prior' to drilling and drilling results of the first well that would hit the sp. The jv would have to break down or Ryder come out and say they made a mistake or floods hit the permit area and so on to make a dent in the sp in the short term, for those who intend to accept the spp and immediately sell for the profit.

However being a cautious person I am careful to not be overweight in BKP. If the sp makes advances over the next week to say between 0.18-0.02 then I would feel confident in taking up the spp.

But I may also sell half my present holding (bought at average 0.009) in that time frame as a hedge and to take some profits off the table and limit downside risk of loss in the short term with the spp. Then 'depending' on the sp can decided to to sell off all or half the spp acquisition for immediate profit, and then follow the company with the other half of my original purchase, which is still a reasonable amount of shares.

If somebody is offering you something for 0.017 and you can sell it for say 0.019 then you want to find a way to not miss the opportunity.

I actually accumulated BKP shares through Comsec and Westpac (most recent account set up for diversification) and it seems I have two HINs and have received two spp offers in the mail for each HIN.

So I guess I could if I wanted take up the full amount in both offers 882,000 x 2 - wonder if they would reject that, or even be aware of it?
