The consolidation has an effect on comparable ' leverage ' though.
And let's just use some ' near ' round numbers. Let's say for whatever reason or reasons be it Mr Market deciding to re-rate Sayona off the back of more buoyant market pricing conditions coupled with speculations of being a target , recipient of concessional loans or Quebec grants..., or even better than expected final assays at a fast tracked Moblan or production costs at NAL. Whatever.
If the market value were to increase rather suddenly or quickly by $250 million , that would be more than double the current SP to around 4.2 -4.3 cents and a 100% +return from present levels.
When the final shares are issued and BEFORE any proposed consolidation , to move the dial $250 million with 25 billion SOI would only move the SP around 1 cent.....So 50% less leverage leading into any proposed consolidation.
So assuming your scenario where you top up to an even 100,000 using your suggestion on the increase to 25 billion SOI ( pre consolidation. )
So assuming any consolidation is say 10 into 1 , you will only have 10,000 shares at lets say 25 cents, and now need the SP to move 10 cents or 40% to realise the same $250 million in increased market value , but only HALF of what you would have otherwise got in your profit move on your 100,000 shares from 2.1 to 4.2 - 4.3 cents and a pre-consolidation basis.
So I would suggest you would actually need 200,000 shares to ensure you have the same leverage to profits moving forward based on the business valuation upside.
