Yes mate. We stayed pretty dry in the end. It looked like it was gonna be a very close thing for a while there. We restocked food, fresh water, battery power, candles, gas and lots of red wine.... blah de blah. Lifted vulnerable items downstairs and in the garage, and then sat with the vino, watching the upstream river height data and the rain radar. However, the rain eased just in time and the water peaked below the top of the riverbank, instead of knocking on the door.
After that, it was just a good view of the Big River doing what it does when bigger than usual. So - lucky this time, and very sorry for those further North who got hammered.
