A similar thread was started months back. I went into the Perth Mint round that time. They told me there was plenty there to buy.... I bought some.

Assuming there is a little credibility left in the financial markets, banks, bullion banks, the "allocated" silver consituting the ETF's (especially iShares SLV) is HUGE.... that would take up a large portion of the silver available to the general public and industry....

This is two edged... the stashing away of this silver creates a "shortage"... BUT, at some stage (assuming the silver is truly there", this large surplus of silver could flood the market and drive the price down.

It is annoying to me that the banks and MEGA WEALTHY know exactly what the real silver situation is, how much is really where....

I've heard that the riots occurring in Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt... a lot of it has to do with inflation, soaring food costs...... the likes of JP Morgan don't care.... JP Morgan would see people starve if it made them a buck.... shorting grains.... I think someone's talking about selling/shorting water, now.....


This may seem a bit off topic, but what I am alluding to is the reality that those with much financial clout, much resources, can screw the little guy, whether it is the small silver investor in a wealthy country or the hungry in poor countries.

One wonders when the mega wealthy and their banks will be held to account for their dealings in the dark.

Seriously, the figures are in the trillions, perhaps tens of trillions of dollars, the wealth hidden in Offshore Tax Havens, Swiss Bank vaults..... how would any of us mere mortals have any idea what may suddenly appear or disappear as it suits SOME?????????
