The main reason Gillard/Swan have to cut items from the budget is because the Rudd/Gillard Govt. have been so wasteful. The NBN just proves that wastefulness is in the Labor Party 'DNA' and will thrive as long as they hold the reins.
Gillard/Swan will slash regional infrastructure projects so that the gamers/net dwellers have a faster network connection. Too bad that the world will have moved to wireless long before the last trench is dug.
ps. did you know you have to rewire your house for the NBN? Haha, thought so.
