I've been looking at coal companies with overseas assets simply because they are going to benefit the most out of the rising coal prices (qld disaster).

Especially if the asset location is near china. It makes a lot of sense for China to import from such places instead of Aus/brazil/africa (delivery cost more exp)

Noble is cashed up and very smart in allocating their money in the right assets/industry.

It's very strategic move for them to put a stake in both companies. Location location!
