Posts were in response to Yk84's statement of Canada being ' on the ropes ' Seriously though , where else would you want to be located for large energy hungry chemical conversion facilities or mining concentrate operations in general ....with Quebec producing ONE THIRD of Canada's entire electricity generation of over 200 terawatt hours with exports of more than 10% of that going directly to NY and eastern parts of the US. And while most of this is under long term contracts , if things were to get nasty and escalate , where would the US get its replacements for this clean , cheap energy.
Quebec is well placed to look after its Industry needs and in keeping it competitive.
