Just a quick question, how would bots be used to manipulate share prices by selling a fews shares at a time when the buy/sell side is a few million deep at a given time?
Fair enough if the buy side was only 5 shares or something then the bot would sell down and decrease the price.
But if the buy side is say, 2,000,000 deep, how does multiple trades 1 share or 20 shares bring down the price? Wouldn't it take all day and many many trades?
Also to have bots 'selling' the price down, wouldn't that mean there isn't enough long term fundamental support, otherwise buyers would prop it up?
