The newly appointed director is clearly there to ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management—not to replace the outgoing expertise, or lack therof, of NAB and Quin. Her role is not about securing funding or negotiating contracts but rather about maintaining HCH’s regulatory and legislative integrity. Rather than needing to “cover” for the previous directors, the next appointee will ideally complement her assurance-focused responsibilities.
