Float, you are probably seeing the damage done to solar panels in the Caribbean which were directly hit by a cyclone. These photos have been recycled numerous times attributed to solar farms (some non existent) all over the word. As I understand it, it is extremely rare for hail to damage panels - I think it is the rare earths in the glass coatings which protect.
