someone talk me out of selling gpt, page-8

Im a medium term holder - I bought in mid 2008 after stock price absolutely tanked... and was then 'forced' to buy more and more as the company tapped its shareholders for more capital using the threat of dilution.

I hold an absolut shit-ton of GPT stock, after buying a large parcel to begin with and then it doubled and doubled again with equity raising...

My average buy price on the stock after all the mucking around, diluting, splitting and reforming is about $3.15 (0.63) / share or so.

My yield over the 2.5 year period I have been a holder is about 7%

I would like to exit this stock - it is likely to approach my avg. buy price in the weeks ahead - but not in my opinion for fundamental reasons. Perhaps I don't understand the fundamentals of the AREITs - but IMHO this company has not much more going for it than a 7% yield and takeover speculation.

I've written HEAPS about GPT in this forum over the 2.5 years - its still the same company - not much has changed apart from the management team - whom have come up with a strategy of 'stability'.

Looking forward to my exit... I believe there are better things out there.
