$3.05 was mentioned in gold fields announcement.
$2.27 plus variable component for deg/nst shares which at current pricing makes all of GOR worth $3.05.
gold fields dont want deg/nst and would pass through the stock. so as a holder we would have gotten $2.27 cash, plus the pro rata entitlement of NST.
gors annoucement spells it out, even if it doesnt explicitly say $3.05
