Good Morning, jeanluc - Sadly we've seen in the US, in both 2016 and 2024, what happens when people ignore all the conspiracy theorists and other rabbit hole divers; and underestimate their numbers. As much as I might question the motives of some people posting on here (what value can there possibly be coming into HotCopper all the time just to bag VAU and its management?), I reckon it'd be counterproductive to put these types on Ignore. As comfortable as it might be for one's ego, who wants to live in an echo-chamber listening only to views similar to your own.
Your posts do bother me, though, because they suggest to me underlying characteristics of someone who I'd assess doesn't have the temperament for equity investing. It's for that reason I seriously have been suggesting Term Deposits might be worth considering for you.
You may not read many of the things I put on HotCopper, Jeanluc, but one thing I'd reiterate from a past posting is a view I've suggested that successful investors accept responsibility for their mistakes, they learn from them, and they move on (and hopefully make less mistakes in future).
But I'll try and continue to read everyone's posts. And quite a number of them will continue to bother me.
