- raised funds before the results, fully aware of the backlash that would (drum roll) garner
- in doing so, ensured the company's survival
- didn't high-tail and run, has instead made "significant" partnering progress for a new asset
- has put his money where his mouth is (understand this can be read a couple of ways)
Solid leadership.
Even if one were unimpressed with his PER-formance (lol), there's presently no viable alternative.
