What's nonsense? If you are going to make a claim like that you need to provide some evidence. Some clean energy projects are subsidised, others are not. Sounds like you are making a general comment without any specific knowledge of the industry and perhaps you're parroting something without finding out whether or not it is true.
The fossil fuel subsidies is about $14.5b over the 2023-2024 period. Some people don't realise that these even exist but for some reason they are against government support for renewables projects. It doesn't really add up. I think it's fine to scrap subsidies all around if that's really want you want?
A recent example - I was invested in a green energy generator on the ASX (GNX) that was purchased by J-Power (Japanese Company) and a number of their projects in the energy storage space were not subsidised by the Feds. The ones which had some funding were lending agreements where the projects when through a full DFS and the moneys needed to be paid back. This was the pumped Hydro part of the project. The company got taken out by a foreign company for $350m which was a shame!
