My take away from today was WBT was waiting on Onsemi to finalise the agreement for some time, and Onsemi have taken on the risk of the new tech as they see the benefit to their projected $1billion revenue. While the process to mass production via tape out and qualification is long, each line will produce revenue for years to come. Also how close to finalization must WBT be to final signings with 3 fabs and 3 customers to link it to payment incentives? A lot of work preparing for future tape outs and NRE and line qualification equals tornado. Bring it on Coby.
