i remember when i was a young "whipper snipper"..may father used to take me to the "Melbourne Stock Exchange" once or twice during school holidays.
for the life of me i couldn't understand what all of the yelling and waving of the arms was about. my first thought was "these guys need some Valium".
anyway back in those days one used a broker, which going by the there recommendations it was always "blue chips". one never looked at "penny dreadfuls".
first thing i would usually do when picking up the morning paper. open to the business section and check the stocks last price on the stock exchange.
