rampage i hardly think royalties and super profits tax gives our main exporters any advantages
as for subsidizing the car manufacturing industry for export I doubt that is either big(we dont export much in this area) or even sustainable. I doubt we will have a car/car part industry in 10-20 years

I dont see how people who give up on the idea of home ownership contributes to the increase in house prices, Its my opinion that the exact opposite happens. But I guess what happened in Japan and Germany's RE market is just some statistical anomaly that should be rejected?
renovating a house at the end of a lease? Probably one of the most stupidest and difficult of laws to put into practice. seems simpler to just build the costs into the rent.

good luck with that if they ever change negative gearing, seems like its an ever increasing strain on the federal budget. If they change the rules it wont be retrospective in my opinion, but the effect will be the same as the number of new investors will drop off .
