Your one example of Abbott and Afghanistan is typical of the Labor type smear.
He was asked to attend with Gillard when Gillards mob were well aware he had plans to visit well before she did.
It was a clear case of political sabotage by a government who was aware of Abbott's forward planning.
Where Abbott went wrong was with his excuse not to visit with Gillard. A simple error of judgement made while trying to cover for a planned visit ... the mad media storm that took aim at his remarks forced the opposition to come clean on Abbotts pre arranged visit to stop the bleed ... Simply put he was set up.
Now with the floods in QLD Abbott has been made out to be standing in the way because he will not support the levy ... Australia needs to know why Gillard is fossicking around for cash and that is not because of good management.
