MergeCo would be all but an American company if it was to develop its assets in the US.

MergeCo has a great advantage over most of it’s competitors, ie it has proven it can produce lithium in North America.

It has the workforce close at hand that did it.

While everyone here has put the US PLL assets at the bottom of the pile of what MergeCo will develop, I see this latest move by Trump as one that could greatly assist the new company.

Mobilising industry under warlike conditions has shown in the past to be able to propel chosen companies to greater heights than they could ever have hoped to achieve if things remained normal.

I would think the eyes of LD and KP would have lit up when Trump announced this new “war time” initiative.

I don’t believe they have to become American to do it, just like he wouldn’t demand that ofToyota, LGES, Honda, CATL or any of the other foreign companies that he wants in the country.

If MegeCo did go ahead, anything produced in the US would be tariff free and could be funded by Trump’s new war chest.

MergeCo’s assets outside of the US could service Europe and the rest of the world if they wanted to avoid paying tariffs.

I'm sure there are lawyers already creating subsidury usa companies which will buy the resource in canada, then the usa company will sell it or move it to their parent isa company across the boarder.

or build a ghost mine in the usa and rwport all your canadian production as coming from the usa ghost mine.

Rushed legislation always has lot of holes that lawyers love finding and exploiting
