What a bunch of old farts you are and I am too :-).

I was influenced by some wild cousins.

We put coins on the railway lines (mostly pennies) and got compressed coinage.

Put a stick or nail in the flap of a letter box so it couldn't open and dropped in a tuppeny bunger.

Put 303 bullets in a vice and hit them with a hammer to make your ears ring when the went off. I was cured when we set a little fire of twigs under a 22 bullet on the verandah rail. When the fire went out I poked my head up just as it exploded and got the shell casing just above my eye. Several weaks later my mother saw something glinting in the sun otside and with the tweezer pulled out a twisted shell casing.

Great days but I don't want to go back except for the food.

I remember chicken that had flavour (home grown), eggs with yolks that were sometimes almost red, milk with cream on it. Oh, and those eggs on fried bread/toast. You saved dripping and used it and the flavours it gave to all you cooked.

It does make you wonder what life will be like in another 60 years.

Will it be so protective and sanitised that life is just bland or will we see some sort of rebellion.
