What I've found over the years is that it's easier to sell at the bottom than anywhere else. Near the top you always feel optimistic, believe the company and market hype, and think it's more likely to keep rising than to fall. Then when it does fall you keep believing the story and thinking it'll rebound soon. However, once you lose all hope it becomes what seems a clearly sensible choice to sell, even at a big loss. Of course this is all tied in with human nature and typical market dynamics that cause cyclical booms and busts. What seems totally illogical happens. For me selling became the sensible option because the Renard postponement told me that the company had lost its nerve and was playing safe in case lithium stayed low in price indefinitely and no decent strategic offer was forthcoming. In that scenario I could see the possibility of a 10c SP and figured almost all my eggs in one basket was far too big a risk. Now at least I feel I have a better chance of recovering capital in several other growth stocks, with the WR1 capital loss to use later. Of course I should have sold for $2 in 2023 and early last year resolved to sell at $1.40 before the next CR. Well, $1.40 came with Renard and I hesitated, thinking it could be a company maker and keep the SP up, but then the 85c CR killed us. Live and learn they say, but I seem to be a slow learner. Better to be a flip-flopper like Kevin obviously.
