It has been stated that Trump wants to shore-up rare earths and minerals for national interests and security. I have read that he is seeking a deal with Ukraine. I have read that the DRC wants a deal as well in exchange for military training & pressure to kick out M23 rebels from there country.
I'm worried that Canada is going to miss the boat. It seems to me that Canada has some leveraging (rare earths/minerals & other assets) it could use with Trump to get rid of tariffs and bring the friendship back stronger, but, they don't seem to have a leader strong enough to make it happen (yet??).
If the US gets access to a secured supply of rare earths & minerals before Canada makes their own deal, Canada would definitely have NO negotiating power. Yes, they could try and go the EU route, but, would it be financially positive? All I am saying is that if Trump shores-up a rare earth & minerals supply line before Canada gets smart, Canada and our SYA could be screwed. Remember, the deal with Canada was for SYA to go downstream with carbonate or hydroxide in Canada, somewhere. It won't matter if we are merged with PLL who is an American entity. Spodumene, carbonate, & hydroxide would still have to come across the border with a tariff added to it.
I'm worried that if a deal with the US isn't made soon, it could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. The camel's back being Sayona. Just my thoughts. I hope we eventually come out of this tunnel and see the bright light of actual stock price advancements instead of the declines. I miss the days of pictures of race cars, rockets to the moon, & photos from business trips from other countries. Come on Sayona (and Canada) bring back the good ole days and MakeSayonaGreatAgain (MSGA). GLTAH.
