CU6 - ASX Charts, page-1966

I chuckled when i saw your tabulation WednesdayChild, as i wondered how many of us patiently await and transcribe data from these daily reports coming out of ASIC and ASX!
I decided just to check the different rows you prepare for the data, and looked at our calculated sheets, and for a couple of days results there were differences between yours and mine as calculated. How can EXCEL possibly make an error?
So i went back to the ASX data sheet and realised you transposed the previous day data point - on 25/03/25 the Reported short was actually 14,380,838. This was transcribed with a slight change in numbers (to 14,308,838 on your sheet). Similarly for 6 March 25, the Net Shorts reported were 13,391,227 (not 13,931,227).

Whilst its a slip up of just a couple of digits it affects that days variation when compared to the Grossed Shorts.
(It would only be picked up by someone else doing the same painstaking data analysis, ).
I'm sure we're both transcribing incorrectly from time to time, but it certainly stuffs up any aim to establish a correlation (which in any event is hardly decipherable from my observations). However similar to you i do believe we're closer to the peak of shorts just from 'feeling' the data each day.
I did add a few more shares to my bunker yesterday (i don't day trade) and at some point IMO I will be grateful for all the selling.
