Goodfella, you're in the US. Poltics and ideology aside, it looks as though Trump's tariffs are largely directed toward the places that supply the US with its biggest consumerism - the sweat shops of Asia and Africa, etc - plastic stuff, clothes assembled with cheap or slave labour that the US could never compete with.
The US relies on 70% of its GDP from consumer spending - what is going on with consumer confidence and how will the tariffs feed into it from now? BNPL businesses such as ZIP are totally dependent upon consumer purchasing.
