Thete are already a few coal companies in the US that have filed for chapter 11 protection (bankruptcy) In recent days.. If any one recalls, Peabody did same around 10 years ago and they have been around for years and continue to be around.
So moral of the story is that the US coal companies and its shareholders have nothing to worry about long term. When coal prices “supposedly” begin to go into a bull commodity cycle it’s happy days again.
Not so for ASX coal companies in administration/liquidation.
