    heya. agreed. Red tape is part of the problem and possibly part of potential that could out of the critical minerals subsidies.

    If aus is serious about reducing external reliance then we need to get creative solving some of these barriers. Battery subsidies seems to be an enabler with potential benefits.

    re energy costs, isn't that one of the issues batteries are to help with? Re other costs, our gov is suggesting we send our money overseas, what's the big picture benefit for local knowledge and economy/employment in that?

    we're a smart country, it's time we start solving problems.
