Lower IMHO than $34.80 because the closing tick was shameful and the after market (which ADRs like BHP's do not participate in) went further down so if $34.80 is beaten at the open on Monday, BHP sholders will have done well but the big question is what happens in the Far East market when it opens on Monday. Say the Hang Seng, Topix and ASX going into the European Monday open.
I can see a slam at the ASX on the open, another slam when rest of Asia comes on line and a closing tick slam when European Futures stabilise before the ASX closes. Even the fact that Sydney, where ASX bourse and most of Australian commerce is now located, has gone back 1 hour comes into question for these slams.
The extra hour compared to other bourse openings may matter where BHP and all the others end up.
Hell of a day for daylight saving to end. Then there was only darkness no longer daylight in the world economy. From my early days in Auckland (and holidays in the English ruled Hong Kong), I knew that tariffs were no good.
