WHC will ride this crash out the same as it did the previous times. I don't share your confidence that met coal will be unaffected, steel demand will be affected by any global recession, but I'm not worried about WHC's ability to ride it out.

I just think that if Trump continues this course and doesn't negotiate, we are almost certainly headed for a prolonged downturn and if that happens WHC will probably get significantly cheaper from here.

I have posted about WHC for years and rode the last recovery from sub-$1 to $8 so anyone who's been here a while will recognise me and know I don't post with an agenda or to ramp one way or another. The last crash, we had NEWC at about $50, WHC below $1 and greenies in here crowing about how coal was all but over and celebrating WHC's imminent collapse - one charming fellow I recall was telling us how happy he was that we were all about to lose our money. I was arguing strongly this was just another cycle, and so it proved. They all mysteriously stopped posting as NEWC headed to $400 in the aftermath of the Ukraine war.
