Such a bizarre development, when you consider the corrosive nature of salt, maintenance issues, tidal forces, and even simple access. Must be some amazing tech there, but time will tell how effective these data centres are. All it would take is one drop of salt water...
Graphite must surely still play a role, as a quick search sees that many underwater systems are sealed to resist pressure and water ingress, so passive cooling is essential. And as active air cooling is not an option, conductive materials and heat spreading become vital.
