(this has got a bit lengthy. Sorry about that!)
Has anyone considered NHC being privatised? In which case the BOD & remaining shareholders could get NHC for a song!
Presumably the SP will stay low during the foreseeable future. Possibly the SP could rise a bit in response to the BB and other forces.
If this strategy came to fruission, then remaining shareholders would likely miss out on any future dividends and bonuses.
If it was me, I would aim to complete the BB before June 30th.
The company could then sometime in the future go on the market. Possibly good for any remaining investors. To my understanding, given current SP, the company is sufficiently cashed up to carry-out a privatisation strategy. At worse, the BOD might have to borrow some funds to clean up any remaining shares.
Assuming the BOD & Management intend to reduce the quantity of shares on the market, to the benefit of us loyal shareholders, then does anyone know the target volume?Another scenario playing on my mind is that the company becomes the target of a hostile takeover (2 or more players could have some benefits of a price war).As an adjunct to all this, I was previously a shareholder in a listed company which did a BB but at the same time also did a private deal with a similar company & of similar size. The TO was done behind closed doors. It was a dirty, illegal manipulation of the SP.
An article was subsequently published in the morning paper sprouting the virtues of a 'successful 'merger' to the benefits of everyone'. Essentially condoning the tactics at hand.
I still have a picture in my mind of the accompanying photo showing the CEO's depicting these huge smirks on their faces.
They pulled off a white-collar crime which netted them millions.IMO the NHC_SP is superficially oversold, which is more to do with the Trump tariff issue. Not so much the falling coal prices.
BTW, I'm in support of the BB.My thoughts,I have been inspired by the contributions of others. Thanks for your time.
