I have asked previously, does anyone know if there is a time limit set by the ASX for such proposals to be done /taken up as the stock can't remain in this type of limbo situation forever.

I'm am also starting to think like Chelkn, (if I understand his posts properly,) that Regent did all this to make a quick dollar thinking that another Co would definitely come along with a much higher price than they had offered. (That's why they deliberately kept the S/price low to entice counter offers). IMO, That's Why Consol" is just sitting back doing nothing playing Regents "Bluff" game after all at the end of this there is nothing stopping the directors/shareholders to change their original approval for the deal, just like there is nothing stopping Regent from pulling out of the deal as well.
