Anyone else noticed the strange trading pattern of late?? Before you jump all over this, just take a second to think about it.

I have repeatedly noticed bids pushing the price back up when in reality they could get their order filled at a lower level, just look at this mornings open auction for example. He/she is stepping it up to 5.3 when would easily be filled at 5.2 with the two big sellers above.

Now this has happened on numerous occasions recently where a buy during the day has pushed it up a couple of levels to get the SP out of the red and into the green by jumping up a couple of levels when there were no bids to speak of lower and could have been filled there.

This is not remote to CTP, obviously this happens across a lot of stocks but just thought it was an interesting topic for discussion. Is someone trying to prop it up? Is someone trying offload with some smaller buys in between? Is it genuine buyers just saying to hell with saving some dollars and waiting in the bid??
