I suggest you read Cooreys article in SMH. Do you remember how this was politicized by the Liberals at the time?
The idea of tanks being sent to Afghanistan, etc etc? The jet lagged comments, etc etc.
Then Tony went on a bike ride rather than going to Afghanistan with Gillard, so he could get clear media air as the action man.
There is always more context. The libs tried hard to spin this against Gillard at the time.
