Plenty of building tradies, but it's easier for them to make a quid doing a zip value office job.

The truth is the pay gap between white/grey collar and blue collar is too wide. The fixed overheads, the insurances, the tools, the licensing, the over the top regulations, the shit hours, the personal consumer demands, the lawyered up Property Developers who refuse to pay, the delinquent builders who go broke , the class war, etc are constant distractions and irritations.

The truth is the general public don't see tradies as equal in status to their service based jobs and object to paying commensurate rates for what they think is a dumbed down occupation.

As a tradie there's a big demand for spot jobs on existing premises which draw a premium pay versus project jobs with 30 day maybe if you're lucky payments at a burnout pace.
