I've just been doing a bit of research into upcoming Africa/Namibia facing conferences in the next 6 months, and figured I'd share some observations:
Namibia Internation Energy Conference (23April 2025): https://www.nieconference.com/sponsorship/ - Wds speaker 'Terry Gebhardt' is there, which I thought interesting. They have however downgraded their sponsorship from Tourmaline sponsor to refreshment break sponsor. - BP/ENI/AZULE does not appear to be a sponsor at this particular event. - Sintana ceo Robert Bose is speaking (which is great). - We have also confirmed Pancon will have presence there (via correspondance). - Speaker list: https://www.nieconference.com/speakers/
Africa Energy Summit (London, 13th-15th May 2025): https://www.africaenergiessummit.com/ - Azule Energy (BP) is a lead sponsor - but so are all the other big boys, Chevron, Exxon, TGS, WDS, etc. - Aldo Napolitano (exploration director for ENI) will be speaking. Sintana Rob Bose also will be speaking.
Africa Energy Week (29Sept 2025): https://aecweek.com/ - BP is a key sponsor - but usual suspects are all there also: https://aecweek.com/sponsors/ - Some big name speakers - encasupsulates most supermajors/majors - a few BP speakers, Azule Energy speakers, WDS Terry G there again, and Rob Bose Sintana. https://aecweek.com/speakers/
There is a hive of activity happening over the next 3-6months; and I'd like to think Pancon has their finger on the pulse, especially with partner Sintana which have clearly mastered the PR machine. Again, it's a patience game.
