Is your post some sort of capitulation?
I'm too old to worry about my own future tax obligations; I had a decent holding going back to Aug 1991 (quite a lot with Cost Basis <$10) and don't have a SMS or any other way to 'wash' my capital gains, so sold 70% in two tranches to limit the obligation on my beneficiaries. My solution to the resulting CGT obligation? ... pay the tax and move on.
BTW I lost out badly with the first sale, with CBA rising $30 in the next few months, but I was dumb lucky with the second lot hitting the absolute top of $167.92 with a smaller parcel. With recent rises I'm well behind again overall, but c'est la vie.
