What happened with Glencore? What happened with Chemphys? The multiple purchases of shares in other ASX companies, like MAN, RDS (RH chairman connection)

I bought my first Galan shares in 2019 for 11c. Look where the price is now.
I sold late last year and took a significant 6 figure loss, so far it seems I made the right decision.
This one turned out to be a pretty disappointing story.
