Note trofinetide also requires cold chain distribution, whereas NNZ-2591 I believe does not. This in itself will mean lower manufacturing and distribution costs. It also implies to me that trofinetide is more fragile/unstable, which may mean more difficulty in manufacturing.Trofinetide also needs any unused portion to be discarded 14 days after opening (tho that might actually boost sales!)Nnz 2591 is a smaller molecule (194 vs 315 for Trofinetide) which, all else being equal, may also mean easier manufacture.
Probably the most important factor though is the NNZ-2591 dose is 10-20x lower. So with the same amount you could treat 10-20x number of patients.
All this implies the cost of the NNZ-2591 drug is likely significantly cheaper overall than Daybue.
