IMO any political leader who has supported sending our soldiers to war should be held to account ad infinitum. IMO it has just been a little bit too easy for some of our previous governments to commit us to highly questionable combats such as the Vietnam War, Iraq Take 2 and Afghanistan.

IMO the real answer to some of these conflicts is to better address the issues their people are screaming in our faces [especially in the faces of people like me who try to listen and actually visit their real world and who have seen their struggles first hand]; inequity, poverty, poor health care, lack of access to formal education, etc.

IMO to respond to the cyclone & flood disasters by urging a cut to overseas aid speaks volumes about people like Abbott who went all the way with GBJnr! Needless to say I could find those budget cuts in 5 seconds; our soldiers out of Afghanistan and the cancellation of expensive instruments of death for starters.

IMO if Abbott is the decent human being he purports to be he will have no trouble reflecting on the wisdom of sending and spending in the name of war.
