It's not UBS themselves that are buying up PEN, it's their prime broker business. Most likely a hedge fund (or two) that's been building up their holdings over the past few days. The substantial holding is showing up under UBS because they act as a custodian for their hedge fund clients i.e. they hold the assets on behalf of them
