volt, There are certainly some interesting aspects of the now collasped and dis-credited AGW scam.
For example the temperature measurement station placement across the US.
If you care to do some quick research you will find that many of these stations have been placed next to heat sources, such as aircon heat exchanges, airport runways, cement parking areas.
So what is actually meaured is the "urban heat island" effect that has little to do with representative temperture measurements unless you are pushing a political adgenda and need corrupt and increasing temperature data to support it.
Similarly, over the recent years, many of the temperature measuring stations at higher altitudes have been removed and so the temperatures obtained comes from just the lower, close to towns/sities/settlements, temperature measurements.
Now this might even have some justification if the entire temperature series was then re-computed to leave out all the old data that included the high altitude data.
But,as incredible as it seems, that was not what was done.. the data that only includes the stations close to lower altitude cities and towns was just tacked onto the end of the total series with the cooler, high altitude data removed creating an artifical heating effect, that is really just a cherry-picking a process to exclude lower temp data locations.
The US was called out of this by both the Russions and the Chinese as I recall for misrepresenting the temperature record.
Now as for the BOM, you will have to examine that data carefully and verify each temperature measurement station placement, and also verify the necessity of any corrections that have been done to the data.
Unfortunately, these conspiring scientists and like-minded supprters seem to have corrupted the scientific process toi puch their agenda and a significant portion of the temperature data record seems to have been one of their targets.
As I said, it is probably just that you have not been keeping up with current events regarding the collapse of the now dis-credited global warming scam...
