Global markets rebounded overnight.
In Europe, the FTSE rose 52 points (.64%), the DAX rose 87 points (.41%) and the CAC rose 40 points (.56%).
IMF warned of significantly slower growth in 2025 due to trade disruptions and tariffs.
US Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, stated "the tariff stand-off with China is unsustainable and he expects the situation to de-escalate". This sparked a rally in US markets.
The DOW rose 1,016 points (2.66%), the NBI rose 105 points (2.67%), the NASDAQ Composite rose 429 points (2.71%) and the Rusell small cap index rose 49 points (2.71%).
Trump announced that he was applying tariffs as high as 3,521% on solar panels coming in from SE Asia (manufactured by Chinese companies). US solar panel companies has serious gains on the Dow.
US Treasury 10 year bond yield slipped to 4.401%
Oil prices rose - Brent crude at US$67.30 per barrel.
Gold price slipped to US$3,379 per oz.
BITCOIN surged to US$91,433.
