I think you'll find that Jeff Q didn't mention the current share price.
He was making the point that a lot of people (brokers, PDI boosters etc) were wildly inflating the future value by not fully considering the development costs, sovereign risk issues, tax etc etc etc
Very much doubt PRU took this stake simply as an "investment". They were looking at buying and that will not have changed
Has management done enough to stave that off by by getting Lundin and Zijin involved?
Time will tell but in the end the best way for everyone to make money is for PRU to launch a takeover - and I hope its sooner rather than later.
