I don't want to say publicly what I think of corporate brokers as I don't want to be sued for slander. All I will say is the apparent conflict of interest (clipping tickets on both sides of a transaction), appears to frequently negatively impact a microcaps ability to achieve fair price discovery. Welcome to the world of corporate broker funded micro-caps (aka the mouse wheel). Very few micro caps escape the mouse wheel thanks in part to the corporate broker funding model. From a retail investors standpoint, the only way to play this game on an absolutely level playing field is to look under the hood of your holdings using broker data and block order capital inflows. All in my opinion of course.
