From what I can tell, those "marketing" a so called version of Christianity which includes denigrating the CC, have mainly one of three effects.
The marketed version of Christianity is seldom embraced.
- They laugh off what is being marketed as absurd.
- The "embrace" the CC.
- They walk away from Christianity.
You're not far off your assessment, I among many just shake our heads when I see such lists, these so-called wrongdoing by the CC have been going on for hundreds of years and have been well and truly rebutted, unfortunately in certain circles they are taught as facts including in some protestant universities, even included in their theology, but recently there's been a mass conversion to the CC by many scholars when reality catches up with them, and many of the faithful are not far behind
There has been a mess for a long time, Catholics have been asleep, but with all the attack the faith have endured it only served as a wakeup call and now have woken up, especially with the last pope.
