Would you allow the annoying squeaking parrot to ask what makes a wise old owl like yourself assume that Johnpax's intention is to get into value investment, rather than trading?
I would have thought that the question and the context is more likely to suggest the latter.
Perhaps learning the meaning of the term and surrounding facts as you have briefly explained them (surprisingly, quite correctly) would help the above mentioned Johnpax to start on a more sound foundation?
After all, he is asking for people's advice and not for a statement of how you feel and which things irate you (which is quite irrelevant).
