Thanks for that, bedtime reading, a tremendous amount of detail and no doubt a lot of activity in the mid to late 1960s - almost a "staking rush" if you will followed by decades of neglect. It sort of reads like a massive rush with too many companies all trying to re-invent the wheel and duplicating all their efforts in what must have been a very remote and expensive place to explore. In these exploration booms sometimes there just isn't the sugar hit of a world-class discovery early, so everyone from the prospectors/geologists/management and investors gets bored of it, and jump onto the next big thing or place e.g. Chile or WA Nickel (or the subsequent oil crisis and metals price changes stops everything).
