any politician, male or female, who is in favor of laws allowing women being able to choose to abort a child right up until birth at full gestation has my total and utter hatred. I know of a child who was born at 23 and a half weeks, (over 3 months prem) and weighed 680 grams. This child is now a very healthy teenager, plays tennis, does well at school, etc. Doctors, nurses, and the hospital, put up a huge fight to save this baby - as did the parents.
Worse, this "kill the baby" support from a woman who has never known the joys (or trials and tribulations) of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting.
Women are already becoming selfish in their attitudes to childbirth - the "too posh to push" Caesarean brigade.
An "it's too inconvenient" excuse for aborting a baby right up to full term is an abomination. An early abortion decision should be very carefully considered, and re-thought. Must be millions of women over the years in old age who desperately wished they'd gone ahead and had that child, they feel so lonely and regretful.
Gillard's connections with the Fabian Society were still relevant up until around 2002. Not the "Finished 20 years ago" connection she glibly fibbed about.
As for human cloning, anyone read the book about the human clones bred in "farms" to provide body parts as and when required for their "other selves" - the person from whom they were cloned? Forget what it was called - but ghastly/chilling!
